Legal Secretary - Residential Property

A well established, multi-office firm based in Essex are currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Residential Property Team.

This firm holds a strong reputation in the area due to their high quality expert advice alongside a loyal and growing client base.

You will be joining a tight-knit, friendly team of experienced professionals who pride themselves on their warm and welcoming culture.

The role can be based at either their Epping or Loughton office, on a full-time basis.


The Role

You will be working within a supportive and engaged team.

  • Assisting and supporting fee earners specialising in residential property matters
  • Liaising with clients and other professionals
  • File management, including sale, purchase, right to buy and new build
  • Handling key conveyancing documents in process
  • Answering enquiries
  • Digital dictation
  • Searches
  • Using caseload management system
  • General administrative duties


The Person

  • Previous experience as a legal secretary (ideally 1+ year)
  • Experience with the conveyancing process.
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • A team player
  • IT proficient
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and use own initiative
  • Fast and accurate typing skills and able to undertake audio-dictation.

Job type: Full-Time
Location: Epping or Loughton
Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 (dependent on experience)
