The Modern Slavery Act (MSA) 2015 covers:
Slavery | Exercising powers of ownership over a person |
Servitude | The obligation to provide services is imposed by the use of coercion |
Forced or Compulsory Labour | Work or services are exacted from a person under the menace of any penalty and for which the person has not offered themselves voluntarily |
Human Trafficking | Arranging or facilitating the travel of another person with a view to their exploitation |
This statement covers all four activities.

Employees have a responsibility under this policy and Directors will listen and be approachable to employees as well as act appropriately if they are told something that might indicate an exploitative situation.
This statement focuses specifically on GWV Talent Solutions Limited’s compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the Act) and highlights the steps we take to ensure there is no slavery or human trafficking occurring within the organisation or its supply chains.

The Risks
Potential risks faced relating to slavery and human trafficking include engaging employees and recruiting candidates for clients and we manage these risks through this statement and safeguarding policy.
Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains include but are not limited to, sourcing candidates for clients. This may involve the use of external agencies for onward supply to end clients. All Suppliers are expected to aim for high ethical standards and to operate in a compliant and professional manner promoting similar standards within their own supply chain.
We thoroughly check supply chains to ensure the potential for slavery and human trafficking is significantly reduced and we tell companies that we do business with that we are not prepared to accept any form of exploitation.
Suppliers are required to have in place a policy which makes reference to the Modern Slavery Act recognising, respecting and protecting the human rights of their employees, those of their suppliers and business partners and the communities affected by their operations. Suppliers are asked by Gerrard White to supply a copy of their policy both at the commencement date of the relationship and on an annual review basis and are asked what policies and processes they have in place to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We make an effort to ensure that all our supplier contracts contain an anti-slavery clause confirming their compliance with the MSA,
All slavery and human trafficking laws must be complied with including, but not limited to, the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. Suppliers must ensure their business operations and supply chain are free from slavery and human trafficking practices whether in the UK or elsewhere, both internally and within other external business relationships. We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business.
