Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a vibrant and growing firm, for a Criminal Solicitor to join them, either in Brighton or London offices.
Applications are welcome from NQ-2 PQE Solicitors or those who are part-way through their Training Contract/SQE and wish to qualify into Criminal law.
The successful Criminal Solicitor will advise on a range of criminal cases, to be tried in both Crown and Magistrates Court. You will be mentored by highly experienced Partners, and will be allocated an annual CPD budget to allow you to reach your full potential.
The successful Criminal Solicitor will offer the following background/skill set:
- Ideally be
- a qualified as a Solicitor, permitted to practice in England and Wales (NQ-1 year PQE) OR
- a currently Trainee Solicitor who is due to qualify by September 2024, and keen to qualify into Criminal law. If this is the case, you MUST have experience of managing your own case load (under supervision) within a Litigation seat.
- Must have an understanding of Criminal Procedure Rules
- Ideally be Police Station Accredited
- Must offer excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be commercially astute
- Be comfortable working under pressure and to strict deadlines
