Private Client Paralegal 12-month FTC
Start Date ASAP
This is an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal to join a leading & tier 1 ranked Private Client practice supporting their Contentious Trusts & Estates team.
Your role will be to provide Paralegal support and legal research to the fee-earners as they focus on big ticket trust disputes usually international and substantial probate disputes / inheritance act claims, usually domestic. These cases are usually high value complex and document heavy
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting busy fee-earners on document management
- Providing similar assistance to Commercial Disputes team involved in document heavy disclosure exercise
- Carry out legal research, using a variety of online and reference sources
- Draft and proof-read legal documents and prepare written reports as requested
- Methodically analyse and summarise complex issues, finding solutions and communicating them effectively
- Provide support to fee-earners on cases through investigations, drafting, research and analysis
- Prepare bundles/ files as requested
- Assist other members of the team when preparing for client meetings
- Attend client meetings, alongside other fee-earners and produce attendance notes as requested
Skills and Experience
- 6-month previous experience in a paralegal position and within a Private Client practice would be preferred, or within Commercial disputes
- Ideally you will have worked for a well ranked London or regional firm
