Job Title: Part-Time Accounts Assistant
Location: Westerham, near Sevenoaks
Hours: 3 or 4 days per week (9:00am - 5:00pm, with 1 hour for lunch). Set working days are Wednesdays and Fridays.

Our client is a highly reputable law firm, known for delivering exceptional legal services and fostering a supportive work environment. As a small, close-knit team, they pride themselves on their professionalism, client care, and attention to detail. This firm is now seeking a diligent and motivated Part-Time Accounts Assistant to support their busy accounts team.

The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in accounts, looking for part-time hours. You will play a crucial role in assisting the accounts department with day-to-day financial operations. Working closely with two other team members, your duties will include:

  • Processing invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with month-end reporting and financial statements
  • Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and other compliance tasks
  • Handling client account transactions, ensuring compliance with SRA rules
  • General administrative tasks related to finance

About You:
We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in a similar accounts assistant or bookkeeping role
  • Knowledge of legal accounting and SRA regulations (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to support other team members
  • Integrity, discretion, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
