Your Role As a Residential Property Paralegal, you'll play a crucial role in supporting a diverse caseload, including:
- Sales and Purchases: Navigate the intricacies of property transactions.
- Re-Mortgages: Assist in refinancing property deals.
- Transfer of Equity: Facilitate the seamless transfer of property ownership.
- Right to Buy: Support clients in purchasing their homes from local authorities.
- Shared Ownership: Help clients navigate shared property purchases.
- New Builds: Assist with transactions involving newly constructed properties.
- Conducting comprehensive Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks
- Crafting standard correspondence and legal documents
- Ordering property searches
- Handling Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) returns and payments
- Managing Land Registry applications
- Reviewing client account ledgers
- Keeping the case management system and database up-to-date
- Communicating with clients and stakeholders in a professional and personable manner
- Experience: A minimum of 6 months in a conveyancing or real estate team.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with conveyancing procedures and legal terminology.
- Skills: Outstanding attention to detail, organisational prowess, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Independence: Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively.
- Legislative Insight: Understanding of property transaction laws and regulations.
