Motor Trade Account Handler – Insurance Broking Location: BrentwoodSalary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Job Type: Full-Time | Office based (first six months) then onto Hybrid
About the Role
Are you an experienced Motor Trade Insurance professional looking for your next challenge? Do you thrive in a fast-paced broking environment, delivering exceptional customer service while managing new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments?
We are looking for a Motor Trade Account Handler to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in quoting, negotiating, and securing motor trade policies, ensuring that our clients receive tailored insurance solutions that meet their specific needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide competitive quotations for New Business, Renewals, and Adjustments in line with insurer guidelines.
- Build strong client relationships through excellent customer service via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Assess motor trade risks, ensuring compliance with underwriting criteria and FCA regulations.
- Work closely with insurers and underwriters to negotiate the best policy terms.
- Assist junior team members as a referral point for technical queries.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize business growth.
- Two or more years of experience in a broking or underwriting environment, specifically within motor trade insurance.
- Strong understanding of Motor Trade Road Risks, Combined Policies, and Fleet Insurance.
- Knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in insurance software platforms and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Cert CII qualification (or working towards it) is highly desirable.
