Conveyancing Legal Secretary
A reputable and well-established firm are currently seeking a Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join the team, based in Eastbourne.
This role will be providing 1-1 support for the Head of Residential Property. You will be part of an experienced team, with a friendly and collaborative culture.
The ideal candidate will have at least 6+ months experience as a legal secretary, however, this firm are also open to candidates with experience as a secretary in another industry.
The successful legal secretary will have:
- Ideally at least 6 months experience as a legal secretary/assistant
- Fast and accurate typing skills, ideally 70 wpm
- Audio typing experience (essential)
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word
- Great organisational skills
Duties include but not limited to:
- Open files
- Deal with AML requirements
- Issue initial letters to clients
- Draft contracts and transfers
- Complete SDLT applications
- Prepare Land Registry applications
- Deal with correspondence post exchange and on completion
